  • Exhaust for Harley-Davidson Street 750

Hi. I am looking forword to stage 1 upgradation screamin eagle for my HD street 750. HD authentics are costing me 38k. A reputed dealer for HD parts in my city is offering me a first copy for 20k bucks or so. Should I go for the first copy or stick to the original one. I'd like to save the extra bucks if the bike's performance and engine's life is not affected. The warranty is not an issue because if anything happens to the engine within warranty I'll replace it with the stock exhaust and claim. I'm worried about the long time issues. Please help!

Suyash_sharma, I would suggest that you go in for the OEM offered exhaust for 38k. The so called first copy that you are bring offered could possibly be a custom made bent pipe with only a screaming eagle end can. Also, in case of performance exhausts, it is important that you go for the original one as the copy might actually result in a dip in performance. The ones sold by HD are properly tested and also wont affect your warranty or anything. I know of few bikers who had custom exhausts put from outside and later their bikes were flagged by the manufacturer and they could not get any warranty claims.
