  • Video: LaFerrari crash in Budapest WARNING: the lack of skill will break your heart

In case you have been living under a rock and missed it : one of 499 LaFerraris ever to be made recently crashed in Budapest. Now a video has surfaced of the crash (WHICH IS HEARTBREAKING TO WATCH)

If you have the heart for it , link is below.

SPOILER ALERT: he crashes it while trying to overtake an economy sedan ( which btw is crawling along)

See THIS is why I will always buy the 918 over the LaFerrari (in my dreams)

That's one really expensive crash. People who buy such beauties should take them to the track. The streets are no place to play with such toys. But I wonder what caused him to swerve and crash like that? Fishtailing because of sudden acceleration, perhaps?

Roshun That V12 engine + insane torque from those AC motors ( have lower starting torque than DC hence preferred for better drivability) + RWD + an idiot with all moneys and no skills = that
(can't comment on the tire temp but I'm almost sure it would have been far from optimal to handle all the above hence the accident)

The torque curve is quite steep, but apart from what I Live For Speed mentioned, the possibility of the owner messing with the electronic gadgetry also remains questionable. Chances of the tail sliding out with such velocity is really minimized with the Traction and Stability control activated, given that these cars are made keeping in mind the person buying it may not have the skills to control it. Hence it would seem that the driver signed up for more fun than he could handle.
        No traction, more action!
