The fourth-gen 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift has landed on our shores, having just been launched at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new generation of this iconic hatchback has been given a thorough overhaul and is tech laden with a plethora of features added over the outgoing model. In this article we take a closer look at everything that has been added to increase its value proposition and to make it more feature-rich than the outgoing model.
Gone is the older 7-inch unit and in comes a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. We have already seen this unit earlier in the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Fronx crossover.
A feature which has seen a surge in recent times, the wireless phone charger is an additional convenience feature over the outgoing model. It’s useful while using wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as it keeps your phone topped up all the time.
The new-gen Swift also comes with connected car-tech features like smartwatch and Alexa connectivity. You can also view vital stats from your smartphone and even operate certain features.
Maruti Suzuki has additionally increased the safety equipment list of the new-gen Swift by introducing 6 airbags and hill hold assist as standard across all the variants. The previous car came packing dual airbags and hill hold assist only in its AMT version.
