Price: The Hero Xtreme 125R comes in three colour variants: Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red, and Stallion Black. The 125cc Hero bike is priced at Rs 95,000 for the base model with CBS (Combined Braking System) and Rs 99,500 for the single-channel ABS variant (both ex-showroom Delhi).
Design: The Hero Xtreme has a sharp and sporty stance. The bike features a muscular fuel tank with sharp tank extensions. Its sporty appeal is enhanced by the sharp projector headlight. The 125cc bike is designed with a split seat setup, along with split grab rails. Its rear profile is complemented by a stubby exhaust and a tyre hugger, for a tidy and sporty look.
Features: The Xtreme 125R is equipped with an LED projector headlight, LED taillight and indicators, along with a hazard light function as standard. It gets a negatively lit LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts. It also has a gear position indicator. Other notable features include i3S tech for improved fuel efficiency and optional single-channel ABS.
Engine: The Hero Xtreme 125R is equipped with a new 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine – which is counterbalanced for better refinement – that delivers 11.5PS at 8250rpm. Hero claims that the bike can accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 5.9 seconds and has a mileage of 66kmpl.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The 125cc bike has a lightweight diamond frame. It comes with the fattest rear tyre in the air-cooled-125cc bike space, along with a 37mm telescopic fork (another first) and a 7-step preload adjustable monoshock developed by Showa. The Xtreme 125R also gets a 276mm front disc brake, which is the largest among its air-cooled 125cc rivals. Depending on the variant, it offers either single-channel ABS (a first in the same space) or CBS (Combined Braking System).
