The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG has arrived at dealerships after its launch on September 12. The CNG powertrain, priced from Rs 8.2 lakh (ex-showroom), is offered in three variants: Vxi, Vxi (O) and Zxi. In this gallery, we’ll be taking a closer look at the 2024 Swift CNG in its mid-spec Vxi (O) guise as we have sourced images of the same.
Sadly, nope. The 2024 Swift CNG has a large single cylinder CNG tank with a water capacity of 60 litres that takes up almost the entire boot. This puts it at a disadvantage against its rivals such as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG and Tata Tiago CNG, both of which get twin cylinder tanks, opening up the cargo volume significantly.
This being a mid-spec variant means, you obviously, won’t get some niceties offered in the higher-end variants.
For starters, you’d have to rely on halogen projector headlights instead of LEDs, and fog lamps as well as LED DRLs have been omitted here. In profile, the obvious visual difference is the presence of 14-inch steel wheels with plastic covers. Keen eyed viewers will notice that the CNG filler cap is manually operated and you’d have to use the car key to open it, which is standard throughout the CNG lineup. The rear-end looks identical to the top model with rear LED tail lamps.

There is no change in the Swift’s dashboard layout, however, it doesn’t get gloss black or contrasting silver elements. But despite this being a mid-spec Vxi (O) variant, it comes loaded with all the necessities you would need.

Highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted audio controls, climate control (manually operated), four-speaker sound system and keyless entry with push button start. Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and electronic stability control.
The 2024 Swift CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that develops 69.75 PS and 101.8 Nm. Those numbers are delivered to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Vxi (O) variant is priced at Rs 8.47 lakh (ex-showroom). It goes up against the CNG versions of the Hyundai Exter / Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago / Punch.
