NMax 155 Key Highlights
Price: Yamaha Nmax 155 is likely to be priced at Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom). It could be launched in India by the end of 2024.
Features: Coming to the features, the Nmax comes equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled LCD digital instrument panel. The console offers access to technical information, including speed, odometer readings, temperature, mileage, and a trip meter readings, apart from receiving text and call alerts and getting the last parking location. Besides these, the Nmax 155 gets an LED headlamp with DRL, LED taillamp, hazard function and convenient features like silent starter with Stop & Start System, remote boot release, USB charging port, under-seat storage and keyless ignition. The scooter also comes with safety features such as traction control that reduces slippage and maintains traction on wet roads and other slipper surfaces, and a dual-channel anti-lock braking system that ensures both front and rear wheel do not lock up during hard braking.
Engine: The Yamaha Nmax 155 gets a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor that generates 15.10PS @8000 rpm and 14.4Nm @6000 rpm, paired with an automatic transmission. The scooter features an engine idle start/stop system that cuts off the engine at traffic stops or on congested roads and turns on by just twisting the throttle. This, in turn, enhances mileage and simultaneously reduces emissions.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Yamaha Nmax 155 has a telescopic front fork and dual shock absorber at the rear, built on an under-bone chassis. The braking is managed by discs at both front and rear. The scooter rides on 13-inch wheels and has a ground clearance of 124mm. The kerb weight of Nmax 155 is slightly more at 132kg than the sibling Aerox 155; and the fuel tank is also bigger at 7.1 litres.
Rivals: When launched, the scooter would compete primarily against the Aprilia SXR 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155. However, in a similar price range, there are less powerful options available, like the Vespa VXL 125, Aprilia SXR 125 and Vespa SXL 125. The scooter would also compete against greener options like the Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro.

- It would be too early to give a verdict as Yamaha NMax 155 is not launched yet, so we would suggest you to stay tuned for the updates.
- The problem with this and other larger scooters coming out like this is that the flat foot board has been eliminated. In Asia particularly, one of the reasons we use scooters is to carry goods or groceries and even our children. This design makes it more difficult, unlike the upcoming Aprilia SXR 160 with a flat footboard. I truly think Yamaha (and Honda) will lose sales because of this and it has less attraction for me who was looking forward to a larger scooter with bigger engine.
- Ideally the flat footboard is not for kids. It is a huge safety issue to begin with. I agree we use it for goods and groceries, but I think they should compensate the space with under seat storage.
- This is a m**i scooter. It's meant for long drives. Not for carrying children and your personal grocery.
- It handled quite well in puddles but I don't know about rough roads
- It 13 inches and yes the scooter can give up to 30-35 kmpl
- Front 22 and rear 36 , it's also depends on your tyre
- Front = 20 to 22 psi. I’m comfortable with 22 psi cold Rear = 34 to 36 psi. I’m comfortable with 36psi cold
- I don't know bout that
- I'm really not sure about that...
- Then what do you know wa..e fell...w
- Good
