Land Rover Range Rover Sport Latest Updates
Land Rover will unveil a new top-spec SV variant of the Range Rover Sport on May 31, 2023. The SV variant will get bespoke luxury options and an even more premium equipment package than the standard Range Rover Sport. In addition, it’ll be offered with a more powerful petrol engine option, likely the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 unit (derived from BMW) from the larger Range Rover.
After its global unveiling, the SUV is expected to arrive in India sometime in late 2024. It'll be Land Rover's answer to the Porsche Cayenne S, Audi SQ7 and BMW X5 M Competition.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Range Rover Sport is currently priced from Rs 1.64 crore to Rs 1.84 crore (ex-showroom) and is offered in three variants: Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE and Autobiography.
It's powered by a 345PS 3.0-litre six-cylinder mild-hybrid Ingenium diesel engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drivetrain.

Features of Land Rover Range Rover Sport : It is loaded with kit such as a 13.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with JLR’s Pivi Pro software, a 13.1-inch digital driver display, ambient lighting, 22-way powered front seats with heating and ventilation function, a 29-speaker, 1430W Meridian sound system, a panoramic sunroof, soft-closing doors, and active noise cancellation. Other than ADAS, there's a 3D surround camera, driver condition monitor, front and rear parking sensors, wade sensors, ClearSight Ground View and Manoeuvring Lights.
Land Rover Range Rover Sport Engine : Under the hood is a sole 345PS 3.0-litre six-cylinder mild-hybrid Ingenium diesel engine making 345PS and 700Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drivetrain. Performance wizardry includes Dynamic Air Suspension, all-wheel steering, active anti-roll bar, as well as Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 feature.
Land Rover Range Rover Sport Rivals : It rivals the Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and BMW X5.
Land Rover Range Rover Sport Variants : It is available in three trims: Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, and Autobiography. There's also a limited-run First Edition for the first year of production.

The interior is nothing short of a tech haven complete with a dual touchscreen setup that while advanced requires a bit of a learning curve. Additionally I have found the fuel efficiency which stands at about 12 kmpl could be disappointing for such a sophisticated beast.
