2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire To Get New Three-Cylinder Petrol From Upcoming Swift

• Next-gen 2024 Dzire to debut post the introduction of Swift. 
• It will be based on the same architecture as the next-gen Swift. 
• Expectedly, the new Dzire will also get the new three-cylinder Z series petrol engine. 
• It puts out 82PS and 112Nm, and will be available with either a 5-speed MT or 5-speed AMT.

Post the launch of the new-gen 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift on May 9, the next-gen Dzire will be introduced in our markets around mid-2024. And yes, one can expect similar updates as the new-gen Swift, which includes a new design, more features and most importantly, an updated petrol engine. 

The upcoming 2024 Swift will debut the new 82PS 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine, which will replace the outgoing 90PS four-cylinder K series unit. Since the upcoming Dzire will be based on the same architecture as the next-gen Swift, we can safely say that it will get the same three-cylinder heart. 

This engine, in the new India-spec Swift, will be offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The same transmission options will be available in the upcoming Dzire. 

The Dzire will also see an improvement in the features section. A previous test mule was seen with a sunroof, which might make it the first in its segment to get it. Other additions should include a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger and six airbags as standard. 

Comforts and conveniences such as an automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start, electronic stability control and rear parking sensors with camera should be carried forward.
