Reinforcing its tough and rugged DNA, the Mahindra Scorpio has been launched in a limited edition Adventure avatar on Monday at a sticker price of Rs 13.07 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai) for the 2WD, BSIV variant, informed a press release. The new version of Mahindra’s popular SUV will have a limited production run of only 1,000 vehicles.
The Scorpio Adventure is based on the top-end S10 model of the new generation Scorpio and comes in white and mist silver dual-tone exteriors. Adventure-themed body decals match the exteriors while Gun Metal dark theme alloy wheels and red-coloured brake callipers add a dash of youthfulness to the car.
Other exclusive features on the limited edition Scorpio include rear view mirrors with integrated side indicators, smoked tail lamps and the triple jet windscreen washer. On the inside, the Mahindra Scorpio Adventure comes with plush faux-leather seats, new fabric inserts, a six inch touch screen infotainment system with GPS navigation and fully automatic temperature control.
The Adventure edition is powered by the same 2179cc mHawk engine (1997cc in Delhi NCR) that churns out 121PS and 280Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It is available in both 2WD and AWD configurations.
“The limited edition Scorpio Adventure is in keeping with the lineage and DNA of the brand and I am sure that it will further strengthen the appeal of Scorpio as the perfect companion on long road trips and off-roading adventures,” said Mahindra & Mahindra’s chief marketing officer Vivek Nayer.
