Bold Compact SUV

My buddy Tom has the Mahindra XUV300. I've ridden in his car several times. It's pretty neat for the price! The SUV looks sharp on the outside. And there's ample room inside too. Some really cool things are the big touchscreen and sunroof. But here's the best part - it's one of the safest vehicles in its class. That's super important, right? Of course, nothing's perfect. The engine could run smoother. And the view out back isn't ideal. Still, if you need a snazzy small SUV, Tom's XUV300 ticks lots of boxes.

new king on roads

My father has been using the Mahindra XUV300 for a few months now, and it's been a mixed experience. While its compact size makes it perfect for city driving, its mileage falls short of expectations. Mahindra claims 17 km/litre, but we're only getting around 14 km/litre in urban areas. However, its peppy performance and comfortable interiors compensate for this downside. Overall, it's a decent option for small families looking for a stylish and comfortable ride within city limits.

Compact Powerhouse with good pricing

With features like spacious interiors that cater to all passengers' needs and robust engines that provide outstanding performance, the Mahindra XUV300 is a fashionable and feature-packed small SUV. You can take the XUV 300 on highway runs or city runs with ease thanks to its polished and energetic performance. In contrast to the powerful petrol version, the diesel has an excellent mileage of about 19 kmpl. The XUV300 comes standard with a sunroof, LCD infotainment system, and dual zone climate control in the cabin, among other premium features. The superior variant's price is the only drawback.

Great driving experience.

Great driving experience.Excellent fuel economy.Infotainment system is pathetic.Radio cannot keep a station on a long journey, Navigation system has a "voice" that is incredibly irritating. Also whenever you stop the vehicle, You need to re-enter your destination.Parcel shelf is too small and keeps falling in.(easy fix but why was it released like this? poor quality spare wheel cover.

Mahindra XUV300 Pros and Cons

XUV300 Positives Points: Big feature list, comfortable ride quality, torquey diesel engine, safety tech

XUV300 Negatives Points: Average cabin space, small boot, noise/vibration levels (diesel)

Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : Mahindra’s XUV300 is easily the brand’s best sub-4 metre SUV yet. It’s got the style and the substance to make your heart want it, but your head might think otherwise looking at the space on offer.

Prefers mileage

I have been driving this beast for more than 18 months & thought of writing the review now as it seemed to be the best time with knowing what it delivers vs what we should expect. 1. Mileage (3.5/5) - not for people who prefers mileage over performance though it continues to surprise me on expressways with cruise control on 100-110kmph. It has given me mileage in excess of 16-17kmpl on expressways. 2. Performance (5/5) - the confidence it gives while accelerating. Overtaking or breaking is best in the class. 3. Cabin & body (4.5/5) - you might be able to hear the outside noise if you prefer to travel without any music inside. Otherwise, with music on low volume, there is no outside interference. The interior is spacious, the only problem being the small boot. Tough enough for a couple. The door and body built is robust and gives enough confidence. 4. Daily commute (5/5) - I use the vehicle for daily commuting in peak traffic hours, The ability of the car to keep going in higher gear even at lower speeds is terrific. It enables me not to change the gears quickly. 5. After-sales service(4.5/5) - I have driven around 19000 km and 3rd service will be due soon. Though till now I haven't faced any major issues with car or service centre. 6. Overall(4.5/5) - the car which you will fall in love with If you prefer performance over mileage and yes the only car in this segment which actually looks like a proper SUV).
