The world’s highest-paid athlete with a penchant for exotic machinery may have auctioned off his prized Enzo, but he still has a stable of supercars we’d give an arm and a leg for.
Ferrari Enzo

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying the prodigious talent that is boxer Floyd Mayweather. You just don’t get to be the world’s highest paid athlete for nothing, do you? That money has also given the 38-year old the purchasing power to indulge in whatever he sets his mind on, and it is usually supercars, even though he doesn’t exactly drive them as much as he flaunts them on his Instagram account.

Mayweather has recently put his red Ferrari Enzo up for auction with RM Sotheby’s, one of the most distinguished auction houses in the world. Purchased by the boxer for $3.2 million from Fusion Luxury Motors, this Enzo was sold new to a customer in Dubai as the 295th example of 400 units built. Bearing chassis number 135440, it is painted in Rosso Corsa and has a Nero leather interior. As with all other Enzos, it has silver twin five-spoke wheels and yellow centre caps as well as Scuderia Shields on the front wheel arches.

Mayweather didn’t seem to have had much use for it, though, putting just 580 kms on its odo, bringing the total reading to a mere 900 kilometres. Despite that, the Enzo has received its 5,000 mile (8000 km) service, meaning all the fluids were changed as were the oil and air filters. No wonder, an Enzo kept in such a pristine condition netted the boxer a cool $3.3 million at the auction.

Not a bad deal, not a bad deal at all.
