Robbie Maddison has transitioned from a motocross racer to a motorbike stunt rider. Maddo as the charismatic Australian is fondly known as, has captivated audiences around the world with his limitless courage and never-ending creativity, but his most recent endeavour— Pipe Dreams, presented by DC Shoes and co-produced by Robbie Maddison Entertainment—takes everything to a whole new level and stretches the imagination.
The Aussie daredevil, who spent two years figuring out how to ride a modified dirt bike on ocean waters, took his stunt to Tahiti, where he was filmed literally riding on some of the world's biggest surf. In a recently-released short entitled 'Pipe Dream,' Maddison appears to be swallowed up by a wave in the Pacific before emerging from the mist.
Maddison rode the KTM 250 SX dirt bike which had specially-built skis attached to it to facilitate buoyancy. This made the scenario appear much more jetski-like. The stunt is visually shocking and makes one freak out.
