Q. Which is the better option for city ride and sometimes 100 km tour in long-distance bajaj avenger 160 or Yamaha fzx?
  • The lazy rake angle and the ridiculously long wheelbase of 1480mm might lead you to believe that the Avenger would have a very vague feeling front end and wouldn’t be a nimble handler. But that really isn’t the case. While it wouldn’t be our first choice for some corner-carving action, the front does feel stable enough through the bends. And it turns rather quickly too. But this agility is a bigger boon in the city, where darting through traffic feels easy enough - a good thing as the Avenger 160 is really more of an urban cruiser than an out-and-out highway tourer. On the other hand, if we talk about FZ-X, compared to the regular FZ-FI, the FZ-X’s handlebars are taller and pulled closer to the rider, and the footpegs have been moved quite a bit forwards. So you end up sitting in a very commuters stance. Combine that with the very soft seat and you’re bound to have a back and butt ache if you spend a long time in the saddle. Then there’s the highway performance. You’ll only be able to maintain speeds of about 80-85kmph comfortably on the highway. Anything faster than that makes the bike feel rather strained. And because of this, highway efficiency, while fairly ok at 48.67kmpl, takes a bit of a hit compared to city efficiency. For a better understanding of performance and riding comfort, we would suggest you take a test ride. Q. Is Avenger 220 Street worth the purchase for touring as there would be a pillion with me or Avenger 180 or 160 would be a better choice to go with? Planning to purchase in 2022.
  • Yes
  • As per your requirements, Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 could prove to be a good option. The seat is cushioned well and wide enough for the comfort of the rider. However, the same can out be said about the pillion seat. What's more, the Cruise 220’s handlebars are relatively taller and narrower making it slightly difficult to guide around tight bends. Furthermore, the Bajaj Avenger 180 is no longer available for sale in the market. As for the Avenger Street 160, it offers a smooth engine, comfortable ride quality and reassuring braking prowess. The Avenger Street 160 simply proves that there indeed can be a replacement for displacement. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
Q. Which one is best for daily commute for 50 km Ntorq or Avenger 160 street?
  • Avenger 160 street is the best
  • Both are different segment vehicles and come under different price ranges too. If you're looking for a fast, fun to ride and feature-rich scooter at a price, the TVS Ntorq 125 is the right choice for you. It still remains the benchmark for performance in its class and the sporty styling adds to its appeal. Our only grouse is the premium pricing post the BS6 update. On the other hand, if budget is not an issue and want better power performance and comfortable ride quality, you may go for Bajaj Avenger Street 160. you may compare both vehicles accordingly. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
