BMW R nineT
BMW R nineT Overview
BMW has updated the R NineT for 2022 with new colours. These are expected to make their way to India by the end of 2021. For more details, check out our story.
The BMW R nineT has gone on sale in India at an eye-watering Rs 18.50 lakh (ex-showroom India). This makes the 2021 version of BMW's neo retro motorcycle around Rs 80,000 dearer than before. The price premium hasn't been well justified as there are no new features on the bike, no changes to the suspension, brakes or tyres and even the engine has lost a little steam.
The 1,170cc air-cooler (with an oil-cooler) boxer twin now adheres to EU5/BS6 norms, pushing out 109PS (1PS less than before) at 7,250rpm and 116Nm at 6,000rpm. Currently, the bike is available in just the standard and Scrambler trims, the Pure and Urban G/S variants might arrive later in the year. Head here for more details on the Bavarian roadster.
