About BMW 3 Series 2014-2019

In the Indian market, BMW 3-series is competing against the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes C class, and Jaguar XE among others. The car can be had in the price range of Rs 37.8-49.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In term of exterior features, BMW 3-series is equipped with stylish headlamps, kidney grille, sloping roofline, and dynamic rear. The Ambience inside the cabin is plush and the quality of the materials used by the BMW is top notch. In term of engine and transmission options, BMW 3 series features 190bhp 2.0-liter diesel and 249bhp 2.0-liter petrol engine, both mated to 8- speed automatic transmission. Like all other BMW cars, the driving dynamics of BMW 3-series is one of its high selling points. The 480-litre of boot space makes the 3-series quite practical even for week outs and 60-litre fuel tank ensures uninterrupted drives without the need of refuelling.

BMW 3 Series 2014-2019 Overview

BMW will finally launch the next generation 3 Series in India on August 21. The seventh gen (G20) model was unveiled last year at the Paris Motor Show and is based on the new CLAR architecture, which also underpins the new 5 and 7 Series. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol and a 3.0-litre diesel mill, which will be paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Expected to be slightly more expensive than the outgoing model, it will continue to take on its main rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C-class and the Audi A4 in India.

  • Showroom maintenance is very expensive. However at outside garages it is somewhat ok. Spent around 25k on last service including oil change @70,000k

Q. How was your experience with 3 series?
  • It is unparalleled on the highway. You can comfortable cruise at 140-150 and even more if you have a open road. Braking is sublime and confidence inspiring. With a 60 liter tank ,it has a range of upto 900kms. Its a beast :)
