(TRK 502 X) I'm a beginner in off-road riding, but the bike is also not the best for off-road. IF you really want to take it off-road, you must change the tyres or when it gets just a little wet, everything gets very hard and if you have a climb on wet surface it's like hell.. The suspension is fine, but since the travel is not too long if you hit very big potholes with speed or when braking you might bottom out. I am 1,75 am and just because of the height I dropped it countless times. Benelli has made a comeback into India with t o new adventure-touring motorcycles, the TRK 502 and TRK 502X. The 502 and 502X share the same chassis and engine, but the X gets more off-road oriented kit in terms of longer travel suspension, a 19”-17” wire spoke wheel setup, dual sport tyres, additional ground clearance and a larger rear sprocket. We got a chance to sample the 502X on some love dirt trails around Chikamagalur and to ride the bike some 800km on the highway back to Pune. Benelli TRK 502 Price & Variants: TRK 502 - Rs 5.00 lakh / TRK 502X - Rs 5.40 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom India) Benelli TRK 502X Specs and Features: The TRK 502X is equipped with a 500cc parallel twin engine that makes 47.5PS of power at 8500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6000rpm, and comes with a 6-speed gearbox. Benelli’s international websites peg the bike’s kerb weight at a fairly hefty 235kg. The bike runs beefy 50mm inverted forks at the front and a preload/rebound adjustable monoshock at the back. Braking hardware consists of a pair of 320mm petal rotors with axial calipers at the front and a single 260mm petal rotor at the back. ABS is standard and can be completely switched off as well. For off-road use, it is equipped with wire spoke wheels running Metzeler Tourance tyres sized 110/80-19 at the front and 150/70-17 at the rear. Benelli TRK 502X Colour: The TRK 502 is available in three colour options - White, Red and Grey. Benelli TRK 502X Performance & Features: In our tests, the TRK 502 got from zero to 100kmph in 7.29 seconds, while the 502X managed this in 7.57 seconds. These figures are more on the lines of 300cc machines that we’ve tested. Roll-on acceleration from 30 to 70kmph in 3rd gear takes 4.00 seconds, while 40 to 80kmph in 4th takes 4.75 seconds. Braking from 100kmph to zero in achieved in 50.72 metres, 80kmph to zero in 31.87 metres. In our tests, the highway fuel efficiency was 29.78kmph, while in the city, it was 32.79kmpl.
