Bought a Nissan Kicks Petrol XL on 25th April 2019 and since then my car has visited the service center at least 7 times. And this time for a very grave issue wherein very very hot air is coming from AC vents and the temperature inside cabin is soaring to > 44 degrees Celcius / 108 Degrees Fahrenheit and am sure that I have experienced hotter than this. Following are the findings:Route: Office to HomeDistance: 6 KMAC status: OffRe-circulation mode: OffTemperature: > 44 degrees Celcius/108 degrees FahrenheitThe Nissan technical team is diagnosing this behavior but till date, they and service center have considered this as normal which I beg to differ because my current car, a 13-year-old Santro or an 8-year-old Honda City does not exhibit this abnormal behavior. So, folks who are considering Kicks, please think twice before buying. There are better alternatives available.Updates:Received an email on 29th August from Nissan customer care; their technical team has not found any abnormality in the car and have requested to accept the delivery of my car, which I refused.Car dashboard vents throwing hot air > 44 degrees is considered as normal according to them so I have requested them to enlighten me with what will be abnormal according to them? 50, 55 degrees Celcius when I will be toasted inside?

Nissan is set to shake up the compact SUV seg
ent with the all new Kicks!
Expected to launch in India in January 2019, this all new SUV will go toe to toe with the likes of the popular Hyundai Creta and its Renault cousin Captur. With a tried and tested combination of engines, and segment first features thrown in the mix, does the new Kicks have what it takes to step up to its competitors? We find out in our first drive.
Engines:
Powering the Nissan Kicks will be the same engines as the Renault Captur’s - a 106PS, 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre, 110PS diesel.
Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual for the petrol and 6-speed manual for the diesel; there won’t be an automatic transmission at the time of launch.

Standard safety features in the Nissan Kicks comprise dual airbags, ABS with EBD and BA as well as ISOFIX child seat mounts. Top-spec will also get side airbags, ESP and hill start assist. The Nissan Kicks is equipped with a first-in-class 360-degree camera that’s meant to aid the driver when parking by providing a bird’s eye view of the surroundings. Other features in the Nissan Kicks include LED projector headlamps, 17-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, cooled and illuminated glovebox, cruise control and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Pricing:
The Nissan Kicks will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Maruti S-Cross and Renault Captur with a likely price tag of Rs 10-14 lakh (ex-showroom).
