Skoda India has now officially launched the Karoq SUV at a price tag of Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is offered in a single variant and has been brought to India as a completely built up unit (CBU).
In terms of design, the Karoq looks like a mini Kodiaq with similar design features.
On the inside too it looks quite similar to its bigger sibling and quality levels too are really impressive. Skoda offers features like, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, powered front seats, auto headlamps and auto wipers. When it comes to safety, the Karoq is class leading. You get 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, as well as electronic stability program.
Under the hood, the Karoq is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine that puts out 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. All this gives the Karoq a 0-100kmph sprint time of 9 seconds and a top speed of 202kmph. The engine also features cylinder deactivation tech for better fuel economy. Fuel economy is claimed at 16.95 kmpl (WLTP). Don’t expect a diesel Karoq anytime soon as Skoda Auto Volkswagen India plans on going the petrol-only way in the BS6 era.
It is available in six colour options: Candy White, Magnetic Brown, Lava Blue, Magic
