Karangiri the Continental GT is a good second bike to have. It looks too bloody good in my opinion although I think the Triumph Thruxton is slightly better in terms of fit and finish (also way more expensive too). Like @ Praveen said, the Conti is great for short rides. On longer rides though, the riding position becomes a bit of a bother. I had the privilege of riding the bike for 700-odd kilometres in Goa when the bike was launched. Although it was good around the narrow, twisty roads that Goa had to offer, it does take a toll on your wrists and lower back because of the rear-set footpegs and clip-on handle bars. After the ride, all the journalists had assembled for a drink and you wouldn’t believe it, all of our hands were shaking and couldn’t even hold the glass probably. So I wouldn’t recommend it for long rides or road trips. However, it can be a good bike to take out and go the nearest biking club on weekends. The one thing that I was really impressed with the Conti was the exhaust note that burbles and pops on downshifts. The other thing I really liked about it was the ride quality. Inspite of the thinly padded seats and the aggressive riding position, the Paoli shocks at the rear did a really good job of absorbing most of the ruts and potholes. The disc brakes at both ends were also very helpful. However, the Continental GT beats the purpose of a cafe racer. Here’s why - the trend of cafe racers started in the UK back in the 60s when riders started chopping off bits from their bikes to make it go faster and hit a ton (100mph or 160kmph). The whole point then is to create your own cafe racer and not just buy it off a store. That’s the reason why I admire people who buy the normal Classic and then chop bits and modify it to look like a cafe racer. But still, if you need a second bike for short weekend rides, the Continental GT is the best looking bike you can buy from Royal Enfield.

[QUOTE_NODE]"Originally posted by Mike_Martin" How could you forget Pulsar RS200 from the list? I think it's should be 1 of the top 5. [/QUOTE_NODE] I have mentioned the reason in the article. :)
