CorsaVeloce Not to mention the puny peanut shaped fuel tank capacity of the Forty Eight at just 7.9 litres. The ideal range of the bike amounts to just around 160 kilometers, that is, if you assume the bike gives you a combined efficiency of 20 kmpl. No wonder Triumph bikes are selling like hot cakes these days!

I would say that they are well on their way to surpass Harley Davidson in terms of sales this year. Their bikes are far better suited for Indian riding conditions and are very price-competitive also. For eg, the Triumph Bonneville T120 competes directly with the Harley Davidson Forty-Eight. The latter is priced about Rs. 80,000 more than the Bonnie and doesn't come with ABS! Also, Triumph has been smart enough to introduce the new range of bikes with liquid cooling and trust me, this is a feature for which you will buy the Triumph.

For a bike with a 1200 cc parallel twin engine, top shelf parts like Brembo Monoblocs, USDs and plenty of electronic goodies, I think the price is okay. Speaking of electronic goodies, I love how the bike retains it's classic design, yet comes power packed with technology such as ABS, ride-by-wire, traction control, etc. Maybe that is how the price increase is justified.
