Q.New Bike - Apache 200 vs Royal Enfield(s)

I may be an owner, but honestly, the Thunderbird is the most comfortable and practical Royal Enfield in my opinion. That is exactly why I bought the bike, not because of being a Royal Enfield fanatic. The Thunderbird 350 also gets a lot of touring- friendly features such as dual trip meters with average speeds, tachometer, digital fuel gauge with a 20 litre fuel tank, front and rear discs and the Classic gets none of these. It won't be as fast or as nimble as a CBR, but is no slouch either. You can comfortably cruise at 80 kmph without much stress to the engine. The ergonomics is immensely comfortable and the handles well in both city and highway road conditions. Also, larger fuel tank means better range and less trips to the fuel station! :D The Hmalayan is also a capable bike and performs much better than the Thunderbird 350. But, the crude clutch and gearbox completely ruins the experience. Plus, it is too early to talk about the reliability of the bike. The Thunderbird has decent build quality and will not give you any major trouble as long as you service it regularly. I think the Thunderbird is perfect for your requirements. Happy riding!

Go for the RE Thunderbird 350. Good compromise between city riding and cross-country rides. The TVS Apache 200 is a good bike, no doubt, but its relativly stiff suspension will not do your back any good during long rides
