A little while back, I managed to get my hands on the Belkin Universal phone mount for the car and I took the opportunity to use this slightly premium holder and see whether it was any good. At that time, I was in the 'Pokemon' phase and was obsessing over the game like a 10 year old and this made perfect sense to catch those rare Pokemons on the Go :P As with most Belkin products, the packaging of the mount was extremely neat and well done. Although using this is no rocket science, yet it is good thing considering you're paying a hefty premium for this lifestyle product. It is available on Amazon and Flipkart for between Rs. 3600- 4000. I found the dashboard mount for the car very useful. It is a not so common thing, but extremely useful. I am not a big fan of phone hanging of the front windscreen and hence the dash mount is a great idea. You know the holder is extremely well designed and well built as soon as you first notice the small details on it. For example, there is gap on the stem of the holder for the charger wire to go through, regardless of how you're phone is mounted. Also, rotating your phone between potrait and landscape is easy-peasy, with just the rotation of the swivel arm. The suction locking mechanism works like a breeze and you don't have to struggle with it. It a clean rotation of the round bottom holder and it stays on like its stuck with glue. I happened to take my car over some pretty rough patches and it did not budge at all. The part where the phone touches the mount has got a soft touch and hence did not scratch the metal body of my phone. As this point, I had been using the holder for few days and was beginning to judge whether I should buy one of these or get one from the nearby traffic signal for 1/40th cost. One of the best bits of this holder was the rigidity and sturdiness it provided to the phone. In my last encounter with a local holder, each time i'd operate my phone while it was on the holder, it would change direction, or move from the fixed position it was in. Now for the verdict - It is THE ideal phone in case you are still addicted to Pokemon Go or any other app/game that requires you to constantly look or use your phone while you are on the move. It is also very useful for using maps, if the car does not have a sat-nav system. Although I don't think it is priced sensibly, it is the best that there is in the market today.
