Hi, Greetings. JOY MRC I am taking delivery of my New Baleno Red angel of Sigma variant on Friday, Feb 12. This base variant does not have music system or reverse parking sensors along with other features. So, would have to go for aftermarket. I am interested in Xenos Orca 2-din system. This could be connected to reverse parking camera to this as well. Of the whole web, I could find only your review of this particular model. Thank you for the post. I am a bit skeptical about choosing Xenos over Pioneer or JVC. I am not a blast-sound type of guy, I would like to hear it soft, but crisp. How is the sound quality as per your evaluation? Somehow I like this brand may be because it is from Coimbatore's Pricol. Thinking of getting component speakers of Xenos for the front and coaxial speakers for the rear. The local shop does not have this particular variant and no experience centre to test the sound quality. Can you please guide me on this. How is the bluetooth connectivity? What was the price? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Baleno Happy to see someone getting use out of the post.I bought xenos purely because of the customer support and to this day they are really pro active in sorting out my every issue.yes the main office is in coimbatore.regarding sound quality i would say strictly average.because in this device the mid(voice) is prominent and how different u try to set the equaliser this is clearly noticeable.i have a 4 speaker setup with jbl real coaxials and front 4" plus i have installed under seat subwoofer again from xenos(tusker) and they sound really nice.not too much bass nor too low, just the right note and the setup looks very neat and doesnot hinder bootspace as with traditional subwoofer setup.i also have xenos reverse camera and all of this was ordered online even before i took delivery of my car :) Online purchase got me all these things and at very tempting prices than from any local store.i got device for 19k(28k mrp)+1.8k cam(2.5k mrp)+sub for 7k(10k mrp) and free installation which was an offer at that time. Here in kerala,we have CASKA brand which also sells these 2 din sat nav systems but all are priced in the 30-45 range so is pioneer and sony. If you are serious on the purchase,i will give a few pointers. 1)Buy online from sites like ebay, infibeam, snapdeal etc in the order of lowest prices for same item(coupons need to be taken into account where applicable) local shops just cannot match the online quotes by a large margin. 2)Xenos is difficult to procure at the moment.mapmyindia ICENAV series is easier they have a few models which are in the same range. 3)If you are a person who likes to add more features to the system, buy an Android version system and not WINCE.software support is limited in wince and navigation softwares are fewer and pricier.u do get a free mapmyindia SD Card(iGo for some) but updates are chargeable. 4)This is a one time purchase so dont hold back to buy a better model just because its 2-3k costlier.once bought there is no turning back.the resale value of these systems are terrible, 5)buy products with service support and warranty.basically all units rebranded Chinese ones.so choose wisely.
