Q.The Russia Life

One of my friends is planning to drive from Kochi this summer all the way via China to Vladivostok & then on to St Petersburg on the Trans-Siberian route - by his own car, of course!

Russia and all of Former USSR is amazing, mostly under discovered and under rated. Moscow being the most visited. Though St Petersburg is exquisite! Very few folks venture into the interiors or in neighboring Ukraine or Kazakhstan - naturally beautifully regions. Starting this thread to hear from fellow enthusiasts about their adventures in Russia, Eastern Europe, Baltic Nations, Central Asia. Has anyone done the trans-Siberian train trip?
