If you increase budget by little bit (say 8.30 lakhs) then Toyota Liva diesel followed by ford freestyle diesel followed by Hyundai diesel basic version will be better choices from a cost, safety and long term maintenance perspective. Ford will be superior in build quality in above 3 cars. Toyota is best and proven track record and lowest maintenance.
