BMW has introduced two all-new models in its international line-up, the F 900 R and the F 900 XR. The F 900 R picks up from where the F 800 left off and is a naked roadster, with mildly aggressive styling. It features a 13-litre fuel-tank and looks quite substantial, unlike the size-zero dimensions most motorcycles in this class opt for. The F 900 XR is a scaled-down version of the S 1000 RR (also updated for 2020), and features a quarter-fairing, a larger, 15.5-litre fuel tank as well as longer-travel suspension in comparison to the 900 R. The F 900 range borrows its parallel-twin motor from the F 850 GS, but it has now grown in displacement, from 853cc to 895cc. Output figures for both bikes are the same, at 105PS and 92Nm of torque. The BMW F 900 R & XR will find their way to India, and we expect them to be priced between Rs 12 to 13 lakh (ex-showroom).
