"Triumph India commenced its innings for 2019 by riding in the 2019 Street Twin and the Street Scrambler on Valentine’s Day. The British brand surprised everyone with the pricing of the new motorcycles as the new Street Twin is priced at Rs 7.45 lakh, which makes it Rs 25,000 cheaper than the older bike. The 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler on the other hand is Rs 5,000 more affordable than its predecessor, at Rs 8.55 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Deliveries for both the bikes will commence soon.
Cosmetically, both the bikes look similar to the older bikes as Triumph has focussed its attention on improving the mechanicals of the motorcycles. The 2019 Street Twin and the Street Scrambler receive a power bump of 10PS and the 900cc parallel-twin engine has been tuned to offer better mid-range performance. Torque output remains unchanged at 80Nm. Another major addition is the inclusion of two ride modes: Road and Rain. Suspension hardware has also been updated as the new bikes feature 41mm KYB forks with internal cartridge damping. Both the Triumph Street Twin and the Street Scrambler have been equipped with dual channel ABS, and the latter gets a switchable unit.
