Hero MotoCorp has launched their second 125cc scooter in India - the Maestro Edge 125. This is also the first scooter in the country that comes with fuel injection, but is also available in a carburetted version. The engine itself has been borrowed from the Hero Destini 125 which was launched late last year. In carb form, it makes 8.83PS and 10.2Nm. In the FI version however, it makes more power - 9.24PS.
Features wise, there's not a huge difference between this and the Maestro Edge 110. It retains it halogen headlight setup, but gets a small triangular LED DRL on the front apron. Hero has included their Idle Start Stop System on this scooter, but only on the carburetted variant. The other big change is the option of a front disc brake. Other things like external fuel filler cap, under seat light and USB charger remain the same.
Hero has nailed the pricing just right with the Maestro Edge 125. Prices start at Rs 58,500 for the carburetted drum brake variant, the carburetted disc variant comes for Rs 60,000 while the FI disc variant is priced at Rs 62,700.
