Hero steps into the world of electric mobility with its first offering under its new electric sub-brand -- Vida -- with the Vida V1 e-scooter. And boy does it pack some unique and interesting features. But to start with, the V1 comes in two trims: V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Prices for the trims start from Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-Delhi, including FAME-2 subsidies) and go up to Rs 1.59 lakh.
The Vida V1 e-scooter gets a removable battery pack with the V1 Pro getting a huge 3.94kWh unit while the V1 Plus has a smaller 3.44kWh pack. As a result, the range on offer for the two trims are 165km and 143km, all according to IDC. A 0-80 percent charge usually takes less than 6 hours while a similar fast charge takes less than 65 minutes.
It is decently peppy as well. The V1 Pro goes from 0-40kmph in 3.2 seconds while the V1 Plus takes 3.4 seconds. Top speed on all trims remains the same at 80kmph.
