- Honda CB1000R gets 4 riding modes, traction control, ABS and a quickshifter.
Having been first unveiled at EICMA 2017, the new Honda CB1000R made its way to India last year. We haven't been able to ride the bike yet but we've taken a close first look at it. The new CB sports a neo retro cafe racer design language with its round LED headlight.
The 998cc inline-four cylinder engine produces 145.48PS and 104Nm which is considerably higher than its predecessor but still not as much as the Fireblade. The CB also gets electronics for the first time, coming with 4 rider modes, traction control, a quickshifter and ABS. Fully adjustable Showa suspension is employed at both ends and Tokico brakes bring the Honda to a stop. Only the Plus variant of the CB1000R is available in India.
