Mahindra has not showcased the 2020 XUV500 and the 2020 Thar at the Auto Expo 2020. However, it has instead showcased its future with an all-electric SUV concept called Funster. It is also giving us a peek into the design language of the much-anticipated 2020 XUV500.
The Funster features dual motor setup with AWD to deliver a whopping 313PS and a top speed over 200kmph. What's even more interesting is the claimed 0-100kmph time of 5 seconds! If you think that's all, you'll be surprised to find out that it can do 520km in one a single charge thanks to a 59.1kWh battery pack.
The 2020 XUV500 is slated for launch by the second half of 2020. Mahindra is expected to plonk in two 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines (BS6) paired with manual and automatic transmissions. What we know for sure is that the new engines will make more output than the outgoing 2.2-litre units.
