The MG Gloster is a full sized SUV that aims to offer a different flavour of luxury in the full-sized SUV space. It falls into the same price space as the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4. A big talking point about the Gloster is its autonomous drive assistance and safety package that includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and auto emergency braking. The Gloster debuts with a 2.0 litre diesel engine that will be offered in single and twin turbo configurations. The single turbo (2WD) version produces 163PS/375Nm while the twin turbo (4WD) makes 218PS/480Nm, with both versions employing an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The features list in the Gloster is plus sized. Aside from the ADAS autonomous drive tech, it also gets a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, powered front seats with the massage function for the driver, and also heated and ventilated front seats. It also gets semi-auto park assist, a powered tailgate, 3 zone climate control, a 12.3 inch touchscreen, a 12 speaker music system and a lot more.
