The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is one of the newer entrants into the coupe SUV space. Based on the standard Cayenne, the Coupe gets some small but significant changes to make its experience sportier. It’s 20mm shorter in height vs the Cayenne and gets changes to the roofline, rear doors and rear quarter panels to make it look more like the 911.
Available features include heated, ventilated and massaging front seats that are 18-way power adjustable with memory, adaptive cruise control, a heads-up display, a Burmester sound system, 4-zone climate control, electric window sunblinds for the rear seats, and even a night vision camera with a feed relayed into the instrument cluster.
While the Cayenne Coupe is available in multiple guises including the standard Cayenne Coupe, Cayenne S Coupe, Cayenne Coupe Turbo, Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe and Cayenne Turbo S-E hybrid Coupe, India will receive two variants - the Cayenne Coupe and the Cayenne Coupe Turbo. The Coupe comes powered by a 3.0L V6 engine good for 340PS and 450Nm of torque, while the Coupe Turbo gets a 4.0L V8 engine good for 550PS and 770Nm of torque. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.
Even though the Cayenne Coupe looks sportier than the Cayenne, it is still a heavy and tall SUV. But with Porsche’s engineering prowess it promises to offer the precision in handling we’ve come to love in the Cayenne.
