Yamaha unveiled the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 and the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Street Rally in India today. Both the new Yamaha 125cc scooters will be launched next month in India. Styling of the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 is sharp and sporty and is similar to the older Yamaha Ray ZR which has been discontinued. Yamaha Ray ZR 125 features 12-inch wheels at the front and 10-inch wheels at the rear. Yamaha Ray ZR 125 gets disc brake as an option while on the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Street Rally it’s standard.
Other cosmetic updates on the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Street Rally include knuckle guard, knobby tyres from Maxis and metal centre panel. Powering both the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 duo is a 125cc, fuel-injected motor producing 8.2PS and 9.7Nm of torque. Also the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 is BS6 compliant. Yamaha hasn’t announced pricing for the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 and the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Street Rally but we expect it to start around Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom) for the standard variant.
