🏍 The Triumph Street Triple RS comes in two colours while the Yamaha MT 09 is available in three.
The Triumph Street Triple RS is powered by a 765cc three-cylinder engine that makes 123PS of power at 11,700rpm, while 77 Nm of peak torque is generated at 10,800rpm, which is 10PS and 4 Nm more than the Street Triple S. Compared to the standard S model, the Street Triple RS comes with fully adjustable Showa big piston forks with an Ohlins STX40 fully adjustable monoshock at the back. It also runs incredible stopping power, in the form of twin 310mm front brake rotors affixed with powerful Brembo M50 calipers. There’s a full-colour 5 inch TFT screen, which comes with multiple display theme options.
The Yamaha MT 09 gets a larger capacity 847cc inline-triple engine, but makes lesser power than the Triumph - 115PS at 10,000rpm to be precise. That said, with 87.5Nm coming in at 8,500rpm, it does make more torque than the Street Triple RS. Unlike the Triumph, which is built around a twin-spar frame, this Yamaha uses a diamond type chassis. The front end gets fully-adjustable separate function forks. The MT 09 tips the scales with a kerb weight of 193kg, and has a fairly approachable seat height of 820mm. This aggressive looking naked motorcycle gets a set of 4 LED headlights nestled in the small bikini fairing.
