Price: The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R costs Rs 17,36,000 (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable litre-class sportbikes in the country.

Design: The bike retains its Ninja H2-inspired front fascia, complemented by integrated winglets which makes the design even more polarising. It comes in two colours: Lime Green / Ebony / Pearl Blizzard White and Metallic Graphite Gray / Metallic Diablo Black.

Features: The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R comes equipped with an all-LED lighting setup. It gets a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The bike also comes with four riding modes including, Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (Manual). There are a host of rider aid features on the bike including, launch control, electronic cruise control and 5-level traction control.

Engine: The Ninja ZX-10R is equipped with a 998cc liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder motor that delivers 203PS at 13,200rpm and 114.9Nm at 11,400rpm, making sure it doesn't lose its membership from the elite 200+PS club. Addition of the RAM air intake increases the power to 213PS. It has a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has a twin spar cast aluminium frame. It gets an 43mm inverted fork with a 120mm wheel travel and a rear monoshock with 115mm wheel travel. Braking setup includes 330mm twin disc brakes and 220mm single disc, with a dual channel ABS as standard. The sportbike comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, and hasa 120-section front and 190-section rear tubeless tyres.

Rivals: The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R competes with other 1000cc sportbikes in the market. It not only undercuts the BMW S 1000 RR, Aprilia RSV4, and Ducati Panigale V4 BS6 but is also priced lower than the Ducati Panigale V2.

Q. I've heard there are some special kits available to lower the saddle height of 10R, how practical is this?? Also to what extent the ride dynamics change not compromising on the safety of the bike???
  • 1st the ground clearance drops. 2nd If you are prepping the bike for drag race events then its good to lower the saddle height. 3rd if you lower the saddle height bike will turn slow at corners but in straights it will be stable and when you launch the bike, it wont lift/wheelie. Lowering saddle height is mainly for drag race.
