About Maruti Gypsy
The original SUV from MSIL. Today the Gypsy mainly caters to the police and defence forces and does not really sell in the private market as competition has moved ahead. Having said that the Gypsy still remains a favourite amongst Indian Rallyists as its simple construction, decent 1.3 liter engine and light body make it easy to modify to suit Indian Rally Sports. Its a no nonsense vehicle that is extremely basic and doesn't boast of any creature comforts. What makes it lose out in the market however is not its age or lack of features, but its relatively high price. It's a brilliant 4x4 that can literally go anywhere, but is best used as a recreational vehicle as its ride quality is best not spoken about.
Maruti Gypsy Overview
July 01, 2017:With GST kicking in, prices of the Maruti Suzuki Gypsy have been revised. The ex-showroom prices have been reduced across variants.

Q. Is Gypsy LPG compilant?
- Please enquire with authorised dealer or Co. As far as my knowledge it not complaint with LPG.
- Petrol is best
- Yes
Q. Is Gypsy good in driving?
- It all depends on one's liking. Like a royal Enfield man is always with Royal Enfield though there are better bikes then Royal Enfield. IIIly gypsy is powerful all terrain vehicle with no comforts you have to be an old car man to like one. It gives bumpy rides, slow acceleration lesser top speed and unstable at higher speeds in terms of negotiating a curve. One cannot have sharp turns at high speeds in gypsy. You really have to feel the coarse Ness and should have affinity to harsher side of life to enjoy driving a gypsy. I will summrise by saying that a difference between a all terrain vehicle and s luxury car is like a difference between a royal and a country woman. One is all so delicate and another is weather beaten and ready to take harsh roads.
