MG 4 EV Latest Update

MG has unveiled the 4 premium electric vehicle (EV) in India at Auto Expo 2023, to gauge customer response for the vehicle. The MG 4 is a Hyundai Ioniq 5 rival that offers up to 450km of range. If brought to India, it could be priced from around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG 4 EV Powertrain

In overseas markets, the MG 4 gets two powertrain options, equipped with 51kWh and 64kWh battery packs. The standard 51kWh variant has a 170PS and 250Nm drivetrain, good for 0-100kmph in 7.7 seconds and a claimed range of 350km. The longer-range EV has a 204PS powertrain and a 0-100kmph time of 7.9 seconds.

MG 4 EV Features

The MG 4 EV is equipped with a 10.25-inch floating infotainment touchscreen, digital driver’s display, wireless phone chagrin, vehicle-to-load tech, heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Its safety features include six airbags, stability control (ESP) and driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance and lane-keeping assist.

MG 4 EV Rivals

If launched, the MG 4 EV will rival the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BYD Atto 3 in India.
