Honda Activa Electric

Honda has unveiled the CUV e scooter at EICMA 2024. The Honda Activa Electric is most likely to be based on this model.

The sleek and premium design language is very similar to Honda’s SC e concept. Three colour options are available for this model: Pearl Jubilee White, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Premium Silver Metallic.

The electric scooter has dual 1.3kWh removable batteries and a claimed range of over 70km. It takes 3 hours to charge each battery from 0-75%. The motor has a peak power output of 6kW and the claimed top speed is 80kmph. The scooter has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers while braking duties are taken care of by a 190mm front disc brake and a 110mm rear drum brake. The wheelbase stands at 1,310mm, seat height at 765mm, ground clearance stands at 270mm and the tyres roll on 12-inch wheels at both ends.

The base variant has a 5-inch TFT instrument console while the top-end variant has a 7-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, call and SMS alerts, all-LED lighting, USB-C charging port and three riding modes. The electric scooter is expected to be launched around March 2025 with a price tag of about Rs 1 lakh - Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). Its rivals will be the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Pro and the Bajaj Chetak.
