Latest Updates on CB1000R

Honda has teased the 2021 CB1000R via a short clip online. Though the updates aren't substantial, the CB1000R does get a couple of design tweaks for a sharper look. The distinctive horse-shoe LED DRL has been updated to look sleeker. The Honda badging within the headlight also appears to be smaller. The entire headlight assembly has been raked to give it a sportier look. It even seems to get a flyscreen as standard.

The side panels too have been restyled and so have the alloys which now feature W-spoke wheels. The engine, on the other hand, is expected to comply with both Euro 5 and BS6 emission norms. In its current state of tune, the motor develops 145.48PS at 10,500rpm and 104Nm at 8250rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Electronic rider aids on the current BS4 model include ride-by-wire throttle, three rider modes and custom settings. Power (P), Engine Brake (EB) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) are also part of the list.

It features Showa SFF-BP USD forks and a Showa BRFC (Balance Free Rear Cushion) monoshock, both fully adjustable. Braking duties are handled by twin 310mm front discs with radially-mounted calipers and a 256mm disc at the rear. The 2021 Honda CB1000R will compete against the upcoming Suzuki Katana.
