It is advised to ride the new bike at economical speeds before the first service as the engine takes some time getting accustomed to the fuel lines. This maintenance the health of a vehicle and results in a good performance for a longer duration. Moreover, the bore and piston on the new engine aren't as smooth and the initial friction smooths them out over time. Also, ride the new bike at lower RPMs to ensure better performance and fuel efficiency returns in the future.
