    When you know that the bykes total cost is 93000,than if you want to purchase the same bike but you have only 50000 with you, than also you can purchase it. You can give 50000 to company which will b called as down payment and the rest of balance 43000 due on you can b payed in EMIs or instalments. So the partial cash you pay at the tyme of purchase, except instalments and EMIs is known as down payment
