Gemopai's compact new e-scooter the Miso has been launched in India at Rs 44,000 (ex-showroom). It's a licence-free electric scooter. Gemopai's currently running a Rs 2,000 discount on the scooter until July 15. It's available across all 60 of the company's dealerships.
The Miso is designed with simplicity in mind and doesn't require any bodywork. The entire structure is made up of tubular pipes which makes it a cost-effective solution. The scooter comes with an LED projector headlamp, LED tail lamp, LED turn indicators, and a digital instrument console.
The Miso is powered by a 250-watt hub-mounted electric motor with a top speed of 25-35kmph. It draws power from a lithium-ion battery pack that offers a claimed range of 75km and takes around 3 to 4 hours to fully charge. It can be charged 90 per cent in just two hours, according to Gemopai.
In terms of hardware, the scooter comes equipped with a conventional telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. It gets 16-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Drum units at both ends take care of braking. The Miso weighs just 45kg but can carry loads up to 125kg. It comes with a 3-year free service package. The Gemopai Miso competes with the TVS XL100.
