Features: The 2024 Jeep Meridian is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats with ventilation function, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, a powered tailgate and connected car tech (with the option of starting and pre-cooling the car). The safety suite of the SUV includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake and ADAS features.

Engine: The Jeep Meridian is powered by a 2-litre diesel engine producing 170PS and 350Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. It can be configured with front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrain, the latter only with the 9-speed automatic gearbox option. It measures 4769mm in length, 1859mm in width, 1698mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2782mm.

Jeep has launched the 2024 Meridian in India at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is now more affordable by Rs 6.24 lakh, thanks to the addition of a new base-spec Longitude variant. It is now offered in four broad variants and a new 5-seater layout alongside the existing 7-seating one. It got a host of updates in its feature list including ADAS. There are no changes made to its powertrain though and it will continue to be equipped with the existing 2-litre diesel engine option.

An amazing all rounder car

I have had the Jeep Meridian for a decent time now and as per what i have experienced this is a perfectly balanced car. The bossy exterior designs are balanced with the great features it offers. This interiors are some of the most comfortable i have experienced. In terms of specs, this car comprises of 1956cc engine which roars out loud and makes its pressence known. The car has a great top speed of 198 kmph which is a great plus point in my opinion.

Most premium car in india

When seen on the road it attracts attention due to its premium interior quality and excellent off road capabilities. The interior is of excellent quality with soft touch materials and the Jeep Meridian provides an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride on rough roads, along with great handling and feature-rich controls. Highway travel is extremely convenient, smooth, and feature-rich.

Jeep Meridian: A Sturdy Companion with a Few lags

Last summer, I was on a road trip through the tough surfaces of Himachal Pradesh with my trusty Jeep Meridian. The 2.0L Multijet diesel engine, providing 170 bhp made climbing hills super easy. The 7 seater space comfortably accommodated my family and our ton of luggage trust me, as we Indians do not travel with light luggage. The infotainment system though decent with an 8.4 inch touchscreen, sometimes it lags.
