It also has a new cruise control system and segment-first head-up display (HUD) for essential driver’s instrumentation. Other new equipment includes rear AC vents, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ HD infotainment screen paired with an Arkamys-tuned Surround Sense audio system. Key safety features include six airbags, stability control, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, and ABS and EBD. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno also has a new 360-degree camera for better manoeuvrability in tight spaces.
Engine: Under the bonnet, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets the familiar 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine that makes 90PS/113Nm. The Baleno also trades its older CVT for a new AMT automatic transmission, with a 5-speed manual gearbox offered as standard. Maruti no longer offers a mild-hybrid variant, but the Baleno’s engine still has idle start/stop tech for better fuel efficiency. The carmaker claims economy figures of 22.35kmpl for the manual gearbox variant, while the automatic returns 22.94kmpl. In CNG mode, the output of the engine reduces to 77PS and 98.5Nm, but the fuel efficiency increases to 30.61km/kg.

Maruti Baleno Featured Review
The car is good for city drives, if we compare it with village roads then it is a little bit disappointing. The cabin is so spacious, the engine is very smooth and the pickup is also nice. Build quality is a bit concern if we compare to other cars in this segment. Suspension is hard as compared to i20 and Altroz. I usually drive on village roads so the vibra...

- Both the cars are good in their forte. The Tata Altroz fits right into the mix of premium hatchbacks. But because it does not deliver a step-up or wow experience over its rivals, it fails to set a new standard in the segment. The diesel does feel like a versatile unit and delivers a good drive on both highways and in the city. The long feature list is the practicality of the cabin with loads of storage and a good fit and finish. The balance of the Alpha Apc platform too raises the bar on comfort and handling in the segment. And finally, the looks, which definitely set a new standard in the segment. On the other hand, the new Baleno is still a safe and sensible choice. Now with the design changes, feature additions, and improved drive, it has become more desirable too. Some things could have been better though. Maruti Suzuki should have improved the seating comfort, given it a more powerful petrol engine option, and made more significant changes to the exterior to help it look like a brand-new car. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city and brand for dealership details.

- The Maruti Baleno mileage is 22.35 kmpl to 30.61 km/kg. The Automatic Petrol variant has a mileage of 22.94 kmpl. The Manual Petrol variant has a mileage of 22.35 kmpl. The Manual CNG variant has a mileage of 30.61 km/kg.
- Both the cars are good in their forte. There’s a lot to like about the Fronx, and little to fault. It brings with it a likeable balance between a premium hatchback, a sub-compact SUV and a compact SUV. The Fronx is ticking the basics of style, space, comfort and everyday usability. A few more features or a smaller asking price would’ve made it a whole lot easier for us to recommend it. On the other hand, the new Baleno is still a safe and sensible choice. - Both the cars are good in their forte. The facelifted Tiago NRG borrows the standard model’s 86PS/113Nm 1.2-liter petrol motor. Facelifted Tata Tiago NRG is packed with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen Harman infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio controls, push-button start with keyless entry, manual air conditioning, and power windows. Safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera. On the other hand, the new Baleno is still a safe and sensible choice.
