Tigor EV Key Highlights

Features: The Tata Tigor EV gets features such as rain-sensing wipers, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with four Harman speakers and an equal number of tweeters, multi-mode regenerative braking, cruise control, auto AC, height-adjustable driver seat and electrically foldable ORVMs. The list also includes leatherette upholstery, auto headlights and connected car tech. Passenger safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre puncture repair kit, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and hill-hold assist.

Motor: The Tigor EV packs a 26kWh battery pack that powers a 75PS/170Nm electric motor. This setup offers a claimed range of 315km and the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in an hour using a DC fast charger. A standard wall charger takes 8.5 hours for the same.

Rivals: It has no immediate competition, but Tata’s electric sub-4m sedan can be considered as an alternative to the Tata Tiago EV, Citroen eC3 and the upcoming MG Comet EV.

Range: It offers an ARAI-claimed range of 315km.

Best option with low maintenance

The new tata Tigor ev has all that features I need my perfect car. All expectations are fulfilled. the design is mind-blowing and the build quality is as always durable. the range is around 315 km which is good for this segment. the charging time could be low as it exceeds 8 hours to get fully charged. beside that the interior gives premium feel and the seats are very comfortable with good legroom. the boot space is also quite large. If we talk about the handling and gear box it is very smooth.

The real driving range is not great, but it offers incredible safety features and cutting edge features and is an amazing sedan.

Buying the Tata Tigor EV has been an exciting entry into the electric vehicle (EV) world.The 21.5 kWh battery providing a range of 210+ km was more than enough for our day trip. The instant torque and smooth drive of the EV were impressive specially in city traffic. Compared to the Mahindra eVerito, the Tigor EV seems more modern and has better build quality, though the eVerito offers a slightly better range.
