The claimed ARAI mileage of Altroz Petrol Manual is 19.05 Kmpl and for the Altroz Diesel Manual is 21.11 Kmpl. Moreover, the mileage depends on certain factors such as driving conditions, timely maintenance, tyre pressure management, etc. In order to get better fuel efficiency returns, there are some points that you can keep in mind while driving such as keeping a check on tyre air pressure, timely service your car, maintain proper gear to RPM ratio, do not accelerate the car unnecessarily, drive your car at economical speeds, etc. For more details, you may check out the following article: Driving tips to improve mileage

Simple steps which worked for me.. 1. Do not take engine rpm more than 2000. Change gear as soon as it nears 2000.2. Try to drive between 60-70 kmph in 5th gear. Don't cross 80 in any case.I am getting 17 kmpl in city and 20 kmpl in eco mode..
