I have a Celerio VXI which was bought in September 2014 and has covered around 82,000 Kilometers. I was on a holiday trip to Kerala this December (30-12-2021). The car broke down in the middle of the highway and had to be towed to the nearest Maruti Service station. I had my family with me and the car broke down in the night. It was a drastic experience and after one day of inspection the mechanics in the service station told that the I had to replace the TCM which would cost around 72K. I feel that it is a manufacturing issue and needs to be addressed byMaruti. The Service station people was annoyed with my questions as they believe that driving 80,000 Kilometers in 7 years itself is a big achievement for Celerio. My advice is to not go for the Celerio AMT. My car is still in the workshop and I had to get a taxi to get back to Kerala. What a waste of time, energy, money and the belief in Maruti vehicles.

Maruthi Celerio AMT has got a serious problem. The TCM unit that controls the auto transmission will not function at some point in time. After driving 1 lakh KM, my car got to break down in the middle of the road, Maruthi took 2 months of time to diagnose and confirm the TCM unit needs replacement, the cost of the TCM unit is 70k. Maruthi says it's a common issue and be thankful as your vehicle survived for 1 Lakh KM. I have decided to fight against Maruthi for selling such manufacturing defected vehicles.

I have bought Maruti Celerio ZXi auto in 2016.I have just completed 23000 km and my car auto gear is not working. Maruti service center said that it's transmission module needs replacement and total costing Rs. 83000/- I am shocked that the car of Maruti gives problem like this. This is the problem in all Celerio model and lot of complaints. Maruti is not taking interest after warranty of car. It is not at All advisable to go for auto gear shifting system. They charge 1L more and after some time needs replacement. Replacement cost is very high. I am not happy with Maruti and they claimed a an advance technology in cars.Sorry, I am not happy with this type of technology which gives additional expenses to car owner.
