Q. Does the ban on bumper guard in India applies to Front & Rear Bumper Guards (Plastic) also? Everywhere I read they mention steel bull guards, bumper guards. - Creta?

During an impact, its proved that vehicle with bumper guards cause more damage than a vehicle without a bumper guard, specially to pedestrians. Bull guards do not allow the energy absorbing crumple zone of the vehicle to work. It results in transfering the impact energy towards the cabin. Moreover, bull guards do not allow the impact energy to be evenly distributed throughout the vehicle surface. Instead, it transmits the entire impact energy to the chassis causing an expensive affairs for both the vehicle occupant and pedestrians. So, its better to NOT have bull guards.
