• Q. I am planning to buy Honda City 2020 V variant. I wanted to know which transmission will give better mileage in City driving conditions - Manual or CVT? How much mileage it generally gives in bumper-bumper Mumbai traffic?I drive mostly in city and daily run is less than 10km.Thanks

The claimed ARAI mileage of Honda City Petrol Manual is 17.8 Kmpl while the claimed figures for the automatic stands at 18.4 Kmpl. Moreover, since you will be driving in the city traffic majorly, the CVT would be a better option for that. The CVT feels, well, less CVT-esque to drive. The logic has been polished to make its response to throttle inputs more direct, so it avoids revving up the engine needlessly. So, it’s very smooth to use in the city with part throttle. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
